The Amy's Army Donor Circle has been established by Kate Rosenthal of Pittsburgh. Since 2003, Kate has taken a leadership role in organizing bone marrow donor recruitment drives on behalf of Pittsburgh resident Amy Katz.
Amy was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) in 2003. CML is a type of leukemia that is rare for a child her age. The only known cure for her cancer is a stem cell transplant. Her doctors have searched the worldwide registry for a stem cell donor and have failed to find a match. Amy is currently on a medication that is controlling her leukemia, but knowing the treatment is not a cure, Amy's family and friends continue to search for her donor.
Please join our Donor Circle and stand in solidarity with Amy and the countless others in need.
