Organize a Donor Recruitment Drive

The Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation has been working diligently over the last 17 years in helping members of the Jewish community organize successful donor drives for patients in need of life-saving transplants. By organizing a donor drive, you can give tremendous hope to thousands of patients searching every day.

  • Celebrations: Make a special event even more memorable by sponsoring a drive at a wedding, holiday party, birthday celebration or other gathering of family or friends! Read about the Peskowitz wedding!
  • Social Justice on Campus: If you are a college student and are interested in organizing a drive on campus, Gift of Life has national partnerships with Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life and AEPi Fraternity. Students take ownership of their drives, using their creativity and ingenuity to make them a success! Read about Syracuse University
  • The Curriculum: Organize a half-day program with the Senior Class at your Jewish Day School. Students can learn about the biology of transplantation, medical ethics and donation procedures A local donor or recipient might even share a real-life experience! This culminates in a drive for the students over 18 years old, and those under 18 can register for a birthday reminder!   • Attention residents of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire! Gift of Life has launched a groundbreaking recruitment program in these states to recruit in the Jewish community! Please note: If a drive is going to be held on behalf of a specific patient, it is critical that you notify your Gift of Life coordinator of this fact. Funding availability must be considered, and this information impacts how your drive will be handled, including turnaround time.
